The upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone’s specifications have made their way onto the internet, ahead of its anticipated launch in China. Remember last year’s Vivo X90 series? Well, the spotlight-stealer was the X90 Pro+ model, thanks to its impressive camera capabilities. Now, Vivo is gearing up to unveil its Vivo X100 series in November, promising some exciting upgrades from the X90 lineup. Although the official date is still under wraps, details about the Vivo X100 Pro+ specifications have already been leaked online. Among its features, expect a smooth 120Hz display and a whopping 200-megapixel telephoto lens.
A reliable source known as Tipster Fixed Focus Digital recently spilled the beans on the rumored Vivo X100 Pro+ through Weibo. According to this tipster, the phone will flaunt a sizable 6.78-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, there’s talk about it possibly running on Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, partnered with speedy LPDDR5X RAM and the latest UFS 4.0 storage technology.
But the real excitement lies in the camera upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Vivo X90 Pro+. The new camera setup is rumored to consist of a versatile 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor with an adjustable aperture, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX758 portrait sensor, and the star of the show, a massive 200-megapixel telephoto camera. The adjustable aperture feature will allow users to capture scenes with varying lighting conditions by tweaking the aperture sizes. Additionally, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is said to come equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust.
Looking back at the Vivo X90 series introduced last November, it included the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+. The starting price for the Vivo X90 Pro+ was CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 74,000) for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Recapping the Vivo X90 Pro+, it operates on Android 13-based OriginOS 3 and boasts a vibrant 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Powering it is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with a generous 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The quad-camera setup at the back is no joke, featuring a 50-megapixel Zeiss 1-inch sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX758 sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and an impressive 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. For selfie aficionados, there’s a 32-megapixel sensor upfront.
Storage-wise, you can have up to 512GB of super-fast UFS 4.0 storage on the Vivo X90 Pro+. And don’t worry about the elements, because it comes with an IP68 rating for solid dust and water resistance. Keeping everything running is a robust 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
